- Unemployed jobseekers includes the number of persons who on the date of calculation were unemployed jobseekers at TE Offices or laid off full-time. The numbers in all the other variables are also figures from the monthly date of calculation i.e. the last working day of the month.
- The distribution of unemployed jobseekers by gender can be found under the variables Unemployed men and Unemployed women.
- Unemployed under 20 includes unemployed jobseekers between 15 and 19 years of age.
- Unemployed under 25 includes unemployed jobseekers between 15 and 24 years of age.
- Unemployed over 50 includes unemployed jobseekers who are 50 or over, i.e. the unemployed jobseeker is at least 50 years of age.
- Unemployed with disability/chronic illness includes unemployed jobseekers who have been diagnosed with an illness or disability.
- Unemployed foreign nationals includes jobseekers whose nationality is not Finnish.
- Long-term unemployed are unemployed jobseekers who have been unemployed continuously for at least one year.
- Employed through employment services includes persons who are in employment through different employment measures on the date of calculation, i.e. persons who have been granted e.g. a pay subsidy in the municipal or the private sector, a start-up grant or who have been employed by the central government
. - Practical training/preparation for working life includes the total number of persons within those services on the date of calculation.
- Trial includes those participating in a work trial or training trial on the date of calculation.
- In labour market training includes persons in labour market training on the date of calculation.
- In training includes persons in job search training or job coaching on the date of calculation.
- In other services is the total of persons on job-alternation leave, doing rehabilitative work activities or completing self-motivated studies on the date of calculation.
- Vacancies includes the vacancies announced by employers and advertised at TE Offices on the date of calculation.
